Long-Term & Monthly RV Parks on Toledo Bend

Plenty of rigs on Toledo Bend never move. Some are here for a season, some have been parked for years, and for a lot of people the rig is simply the house. That changes what it needs — and it means you don't have to tow anything to a shop to get it looked after.

What a rig that never moves actually needs

A travel trailer that goes out six weekends a year and one that sits on the same pad through every East Texas summer wear out in completely different places. The jobs that come up on a stationary rig are predictable, which is the good news — they're cheap to stay ahead of and expensive to ignore.

  • The roof, first and always. Lap sealant around vents, the fridge vent and the front cap gives up under years of sun, and a seam that opens over a stationary rig leaks into the same spot in the decking every time it rains. Roof work is the one thing worth looking at before it's a problem.
  • Air conditioning hours. Living in it means the rooftop unit runs far more than the manufacturer ever assumed. Coils pack with pine pollen and dust, the run capacitor ages, and the unit works harder for less cold air. A cleaning usually buys back more than people expect.
  • The anode rod nobody checks. In a water heater that's in use every day, it's sacrificial for a reason — once it's gone the tank is next.
  • Tires age even parked. Sidewalls crack from UV and sitting, not mileage. A rig that hasn't moved in three years may be on tires that are unsafe to tow when the day comes that you need to.
  • Slide seals and jacks. A slide left out for months dries its seals and lets water track along the floor edge. Jacks that never cycle seize.

Scheduled beats emergency

When the rig is your home, a breakdown isn't an inconvenience — it's your air conditioning in July or your only hot water. It's worth getting on a maintenance schedule instead of waiting. We'll tell you honestly what can wait and what can't; some of this you can handle yourself, and we'll say so.

One more practical thing: if a few rigs in the same park need attention, say so when you call. We'd rather come out once and work through several than make the drive repeatedly, and it keeps the trip charge off everybody's invoice.

Living on Toledo Bend — FAQs

Do you service RVs that live on Toledo Bend year-round?

Yes, and it's a good part of what we do. A rig someone lives in needs different attention than a weekender — more hours on the air conditioner, roof sealant working through full summers and hard freezes, and tires aging out from UV whether you drive or not. We come to your site, so nothing has to be hooked up and towed anywhere.

Can you schedule regular maintenance instead of waiting for a breakdown?

That's the cheaper way to do it on a stationary rig. We'll work out a schedule that fits how you actually live in it and handle the things that quietly cause the expensive failures — roof seams, A/C coils, the water heater anode rod, slide seals. Call (936) 237-3103 and we'll talk through what your rig needs.

Is there a travel charge to Hemphill?

Our service call is $75 within 60 miles of Huntington, then $2 a mile past that. If several rigs in the same park need work, we'd rather make one trip and keep it simple for everybody.
